City & County Bouncing Castles pride themselves in providing safe and affordable inflatable bouncing castles and castle/slides. It is however the responsibility of the person hiring the equipment to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury to persons using, or damage to the Inflatable. To ensure you have an enjoyable day, please make sure the terms and conditions in this document are followed, and that the parents of children using the equipment are aware of the content.   1. The 12’x14’ castles have an age limit of 12 years, whereas the 16’x18’ castles and 17’x20’ castle/slide units can accommodate older children children up to 16 years. Please ensure no one over this age uses the equipment and strictly NO ADULTS.
  2. No food or drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the Bouncy Castle which will avoid choking and mess (please note if the Inflatable is collected in a dirty condition then the person hiring it will incur a cleaning charge of €20)
  3. All shoes, glasses, jewelery, badges MUST be removed before using the Bouncy Castle.
  4. No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers or silly string to be used either on or near the Bouncy Castle.
  5. No smoking or barbeque’s near the Bouncy Castle.
  6. Climbing, hanging or sitting on walls is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.
  7. A Responsible ADULT over the age of 18years must supervise the Bouncy Castle at all times.
  8. Always ensure that the Bouncy Castle is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of Children using it. Try to avoid large and small Children from using it at the same time.
  9. Please ensure Children are not pushing, colliding, fighting or behaving in a manner likely to injure or cause distress to others.
  10. If the Bouncy Castle is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains.
  11. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step as a Child could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users in getting on or off!
  12. Ensure that no one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed on the Bouncy castle as indeed any child who is feeling unwell.
  13. Do not allow anyone to be on the Bouncy Castle during inflation or deflation as this is DANGEROUS.
  14. No pets, toys or sharp instruments to be allowed on or near the Bouncy Castle
  15. Please ensure that Children are not attempting somersaults and are clothed appropriately and that nothing can fall out of their pockets.
  16. Ensure that an area of 6 feet (2 metres) around the unit is completely clear.
  17. The Bouncy Castle should not be used if it becomes wet on the jumping area.
  18. Rain covers are for light shower only, in the event of any more than a light rain shower, the bouncy castle must be switched off at the mains. This is for safety and any wetness, including bubbling (which is normal) can be dried with a towel.
  19. Bouncing castles should not be used in very wet or windy conditions, this is for safety reasons and we will ring you the morning of your booking to advise of the weather forecast from the met office. We reserve the right to cancel the booking without penalty for this reason. If against our advice you request the hire based on the current weather conditions and/or the weather deteriorates we will charge the full hire fee irrespective of the use you have had.
  20. Please ensure no one plays near or tampers with the blower or electrical extension cable, as this is DANGEROUS.
  21. In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. The blower is fitted with a thermal cut-out much like a hair dryer, switch it off at the mains, then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart.
  22. Metal stakes are used to secure the castles to the ground, this is for safety reasons and we cannot accept liability for any damage caused to hidden underground pipes/cables or septic tanks.
  23. All our extension cables are fitted with a thermal cutout and an RCD circuit breaker for added safety. Both of these have reset buttons, which should be checked if the blower stops. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THESE.
  24. Our standard hire period is from 12pm to 7pm, if you would like to extend this time please advise us in advance.

 

A lot to take in but we think you will agree that your children’s safety deserves this attention!! Please remember that all persons using this inflatable, do so entirely at their own risk.
